The Tea Rooms 1892

The Tea Rooms 1892 is Melbourne’s oldest tea room and one of Australia’s original high tea destinations. Opening in 1892 and home to the original Hopetoun Tea Rooms, it began as a small tea room run by the Victorian Ladies’ Work Association, quickly becoming a fashionable spot for polite society.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, The Block Arcade is part of the Golden Mile heritage walk.  The arcade’s grand nineteenth century architecture, mosaic tiled floors and richly detailed shopfronts now house a carefully curated mix of local and international retailers.
